My Roasted Tomato Lentil Curry is the perfect transitional recipe from summer to fall.  It takes advantages of summer’s ripe tomatoes and is a comforting dish for the cooler crisp weather. I always love using produce from the farmer’s market to create my meals. Food is special when you know it’s made with local ingredients and you purchase it from the source. My Clean Makeup Essentials

As mentioned in my Fertility Journey post, I was diagnosed with PCOS when my husband and I were trying for a baby. As a means to understand my new diagnosis, I read Alisa Vitti’s Woman Code, a must read for all woman, not just those with obvious hormonal issues. This book changed my lifestyle. Woman Code focuses on a women’s hormonal health and how environmental factors come into play. Also diagnosed with PCOS, she was able to put her symptoms into remission by changing her diet, exercise, and eliminating toxic ingredients on her body and in her household. Prior to reading this book, I didn’t think twice about what I put on my body. Parabens, sodium laureth sulfate, and phthalates were part of my everyday routine. I didn’t realize these toxic chemicals had the power to disrupt my endocrine system.  Continue reading

Peanut Butter + Rose Water Chocolate Stuffed Dates may be the easiest dessert recipe. Best part is they’re quick to make and can be kept in the freezer for whenever your sweet tooth starts nagging you. I actually adapted this recipe from the Instagram account Nourished by Kale. I elevated her recipe and added rose water because it tastes as good as it feels spritzed on your face. Also, rose water and medjool dates go hand in hand – think Middle Eastern flavours.
